This pattern is also great for towels, scarves or rugs.

I'm using 116m of Woolpedia Lines (organic cotton ribbon yarn) and a
4mm crochet hook

Pot holder size: 24 x 23 cm

Chain 40 stitches

Row 1: Turn, chain 1, 1 half double crochet in the 2nd chain from the hook, half double crochet across the row.

Row 2-31: Turn, chain 1, half double crochets across the row

Sew all your loose ends. You're done!

Variation: Ribbed pot holder

Crochet the half double crochets through the extra loop on the right side of your work.
