This scarf was my first weaving project that I finished. It was so easy to warp and weave with this loom. If you‘ve got a lot of time, you can do this scarf in only 1 day.

For the direct warp I've used approx. 350m of Colors Dunmoran (6ply 1000m): https://woolpedia.de/Woolpedia-Colors-Dunmoran-Farbverlaufsgarn-Modal-p500838960
The main yarn will be also a 6ply 1000m yarn cake, single color Vanille: https://woolpedia.de/Woolpedia-Colors-Wunsch-Farbverlaufsgarn-Modal-p260820591
I used approx. 300m
I also created a special kit for this scarf: https://woolpedia.de/Woolpedia-Colors-Kromski-Schal-Set-Farbverlaufsgarn-Modal-p518160858
Scarf size: 232 x 32 cm / 91 x 12.6 inch

I warped the loom without thinking about anything, just from one corner of the room to the other.
Kromski gives you a full tutorial on how to warp and weave.
Youtube is also a great help to watch how other people handle this loom.
Before starting the main weaving project I grabbed some scrap yarn to get an even level. I weaved some rows with the scrap yarn and then continued with the contrasting yarn (Vanille).
You do the weaving all over until you‘re running out of your warping yarn.
The kids had a lot of fun watching me working and the helped to turn the 3 loom wheels when it was needed.
What also was great about the harp. I started the project in another house. We were moving and only afterwards I could continue working on that project. This harp can be folded, so the warped yarn could stay on the loom during all the chaos when packing and driving.

Now to finish the project just cut your shawl off the loom and tie knots along the end of your weaving fabric. I used always 4 strands together to tie a simple knot. Just make sure to do it really tight. The fabric has to stay at it‘s place.
And then just trim the fringe. It feels a bit like a little girl doing your own hair fringe back then in the kindergarden.
Et voilà!
That was big fun doing this scarf. A great alternative for knitters and crocheters.
Kids were so excited to watch and see the project growing. And just more happy to do the pics with the new scarf.
I would recommend to iron the scarf on the lowest setting (synthetics) or to dampen.
Blocking did not give any change.
