Modal is a natural fiber, mostly made from beech wood (FSC certified).
It's super soft, and by that I mean really soft. It's the softest yarn I've ever used.

Modal is breathable, can store and release moisture, as well as balancing out heat.
It's elastic, but it holds its shape so well that we can create wonderful sock yarn with that fibre.
